The Boys - Amazon Prime Review
Alright let’s talk The Boys (Amazon Prime) and maybe some Brightburn!
Beware - there will definitely be spoilers!
You’ve been warned
Before I get into it I just want to say I have not read any of the comics, but I may now. This show was awesome and just keeps pushing the envelope as it goes. I am assuming based on the cliff hanger ending Amazon is splitting the season up like it did with The Tick? If so we should get the other half early next year? The Boys had me within the first 10 minutes with the speedster eviscerating Hughie’s girlfriend! This series does a great job at showing what would happen in the real world if superheroes existed. It takes a look at how superheroes could act and collateral damage. I still can’t believe what happen to that dolphin. All of the Aquaman/Deep jokes were hysterical. Compound V was a nice twist and the reasoning superheroes exist. Is it possible that not all of the heroes are a result of science though? I really like this spin on the superhero genre and excited to see more. If you enjoyed this show and haven’t already, check out Brightburn. Brightburn brings us “What If Superman Was Bad.” Really surprised that movie was made without DC repercussions. Based on the post credits hopefully a sequel is in the works. Would definitely like to see more of that universe!
Sadly I have no thoughts as of yet because ... well I haven't seen either yet!
So if you think I'm an absolute Dangus for not watching either please let me know by commenting below or on our blog IG Page @tazalghul.blog
One thing I do know is there is a comic book series on this show so be sure to check that out as well!

Welcome to the first ever TazAlGhul Movie Monday! Huge thanks to fellow collector Jonathan Boyd aka @nerdherder88 (give him a follow) for whipping up some unreal reviews that got me thinking and totally remembering things that I completely forgot about already.
This week's movie Monday is of "Spider-Man Far From Home" so further warning
DON'T READ THIS BLOG POST JUST YET IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE MOVIE - SPOILER ALERTS COMING IN HOT!
Without further ado ... here's the first ever Movie Monday Review. Enjoy ...
’m just going to jump right into and I don’t really like starting off negatively, but 10-15 minute in I wasn’t feeling it. Right out of the gate the whole Michelle/Peter relationship was super forced. Was there a Spider-Man 1.5 shown somewhere and I missed the part where all of a sudden everyone wants to be with Michelle? Nobody was interested in her in Homecoming and she was just comic relief. Also I don’t recall her even being called Michelle in this one. Sorry but she’s not Mary Jane, so why the need to even call her MJ at all? Also that whole taking her swinging through the city was unnecessary and made no sense which leads to another complaint. Next problem I had was the amount of times and time spent by Peter unmasked. When the post credits identity reveal happened it was like who doesn’t know at this point. If he wouldn’t have instantly ripped that mask off as soon as he entered the room with Beck and SHIELD he wouldn’t have a problem. That all just seems very uncharacteristic of Peter Parker since he keeps his secret identity very secret in comics. Happy even gives away Spidey’s identity in the vault when he says he has a thing for Spider-Man’s aunt. When those kids see him with May they are going to know that’s Peter’s aunt. Marvel seems to be replacing Uncle Ben with Tony Stark as well. I get the Uncle Ben thing has been shown and told several times, but it’s still a key part of the character and I want “With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility.” The kicker was showing the initials on the suitcase and then blowing up the plane later. I don’t need or want Spider-Man to be the next Iron Man, I just want him to be Spider-Man. On to the positive aka MYSTERIO! The Mysterio stuff was great and brought this True Believer back into the movie. The changes made to his character made sense and worked for me. The parts where he had Spider-Man trapped in the illusions were awesome. Those scenes made the movie for me along with JK Simmons back as J Jonah Jameson! I hope Mysterio’s death was an illusion as well and he comes back later. I’m glad the multiverse thing was a lie, it’s too early for all that stuff. The Skrull and Fury post credit thing threw me for a loop and confuses me. Where is Fury and why is he working with Skrulls? When Spider-Man was shown in Civil War I was really excited for him being added to the MCU and before Homecoming I’d put Civil War on just to skip to his part. Since Homecoming and now Far From Home I feel let down. Marvel seems to be trying really hard to be different than previous iterations and the character/story is suffering. These are my initial thoughts though from just the 1 viewing.
P.S. Spider-Verse is still my favorite Spider-Man movie
Review by @nerdherder88
I was actually pretty pumped to read this review because my man really nailed it right out of the gates with the whole forced MJ relationship - was quite a wicked awkward start for the movie which did tie the whole younger more teenage spider-man feel to it more than previous spider-man movies. That whole MJ thing going on does grind my gears. Also ... 100% Peter Parker DOES NOT rip that mask off in public ever. That whole aspect of it totally goes against the hero code & we shall see how they react to that Times Square ending announcing to the world that Spidey is Peter Parker. Someone Cue the Men In Black Mind wipe ... or bring on the X-Men for a nice brain cleanse like Emma Frost in the most recent Uncanny Avengers comic wiping memories of mutant kind? If only if only.
Mysterio and the illusions ... straight badass. That got the movie quite a few extra stars in my mind just because of the amazing visual effects and inception like action.
All in all ill give it the following rating ...
It's getting closer and closer to the first ever live action Pokemon film! Here's the 3rd sneak peak of Detective Pikachu with a better look at some of the Pokemon in the movie like Mr.Mime's fire dance moves, Bulbasaur gang and Psyduck. Give it a watch!
Not sure if I was just living under a rock while all the hype for this was coming out but here is the newest trailer for the upcoming Lord of the Rings movie "Tolkein". Pretty short little teaser but I know I'll be seeing it no doubt. Give it a watch.
Pretty awesome to see the DC Universe releasing so many exclusive shows for all of their DC Universe subscribers. For sure has me feeling the FOMO since I'm not a member and really want to see Titans & Doom Patrol. One Day!

Well if you didn’t see the commitment post today for 2019 - I”ve committed to make a sketch a week so I can 1. Nail this iPad Pro game down and 2. Bring better art pieces to the community. It’s been a while since the TazAlGhu; shop has gotten some new pieces so in 2019 I’m dedicated to bring the head. The first item that will be out will be the Dead Man Logan Tees - not yet live but here’s a sneak peak of the artwork ...
Be surre to swoop the Old Man Logan tees before they sell out ... Just in-case you missed the last TazAlghul drop that’s also right below ... don’t worry apparently everyone else missed it too because we only sold 12 ... My Bad ... kind of tucked it away in the web abysss but whatevs ... sorry bout it ... Cheers to Dead Man Logan!
Watch this hilarious trailer where Deadpool is the only star! Well of course also Hugh Jackman. We all want to see Hugh Jackman as Wolverine all over again now that Disney has the rights to tie him into the MCU. The intro scene with Deadpool rubbing down the Wolverine mask is priceless. Give this a watch - you won't be disappointed.
Hilarious! hahaha get these two together in a partly animated movie asap please and thank you.
Damnnnn this looks like it's going to be insane! Be sure to watch Unbreakable and Split before you see this bad boy. A crazy combination of the 2 is about to go down!
To be honest ... I was wicked sad when I found out that Old Man Logan was coming to an end at issue #50. The storyline was honestly what got me deeper and deeper into the comic world and obviously through the entire Old Man Logan storyline itself which was quite a long one. However, with the way Dead Man Logan has begun I know that I'm going to love the next 12 issues. With the beginning of the story stating that Logan only has 12 more months to live I'm guessing there will only be monthly releases of each issue. Shall for sure be a test of patience thats for sure haha. Before you dive into this post be warned that spoilers are incoming! I'm about to give my thoughts on issue #1 and hope to have you all chime in as well in the comments ... So ... Here we go!
Right away when I opened the page to the same exact place Logan was left at the very end of Old Man Logan #50 I was relieved. You never know when they'll just jump the gun to start a new series and leave out a huge chunk of how the character got there. Blob, Forge and Cicilia luckily came to the rescue and found the old man laying face down in the snow like you see in the image to the left. For those of you that missed the epic battle of Logan V Maestro you HAVE to go snag Old Man Logan #50 and give it a read. For sure a must & then go swoop number 1-49 while you're at it too. I thought for sure with the title being Dead Man Logan this would somehow in turn start off the storyline with some type of Zombie Reginix'd Wolverine that was out of his mind and ready to unleash revenge even worse than before. BUT ... that for sure was not the case.
I was stoked to see once Logan finally woke up that he had a flashback all the way to the Wolverine Old Man Logan days of the wasteland and all the terrible times of the past. The artwork on that flashback is also incredible and caught me staring for a good minute or two. My favorite part was the list he had on his for arm labeling (Butcher, Banner, Mystery, Red Skull). If you read the earlier issues you know he's got everyone on that list but one! Yup ... the one who started it all. Good ol' Mysterio. After that is when he's told he has 12 more months before he finally crumbles. Loved how right away classic Logan heads right out and ditches the squad to get right down to business. Don't think there was a much better place for him to go to than The Bar With No Name. Loved how for about 4 spreads he absolutely crushed everyone like his old self on the hunt for Mysterio's whereabouts. Low and behold the brunt of his problems he just left at the bar untouched ... Miss Sinister started the re-peat of Logan's past by finding exactly where Mysterio was lurking ...
Or not lurking at all ... Just chilling out in the looney bin withering his days away. I never would have guessed that's where he'd be and apparently neither did Logan. I was pumped when Hawkeye came back into the story for some help since in the early issues Old Man Hawkeye and Logan we're a sweet little tag team. Spider-Man gives them the deets and they roll out to the nuthouse ... I thought it was pretty hilarious that Miss Sinister really had to wheel him hard to finally get him to agree. He actually probably still wouldn't have until she told him Logan was en route to slice n dice. The fact that she actually got him out and filled him in on a future that could now be in this current dimension opens up the storyline all over again to repeat the terrible past of Logan's life and the death of all heroes. I 100% won't be mad if it goes down that road because the whole Red Skull hunt down segment of that past/future of Logan's life was unreal. That alone has me counting down the days to snag #2 of 12.
As always things have been getting crazy in the top 10 list! Two that haven't ran the the top in quite some time that I'm pumped to see in here are the legendary X-Files stunner Dana Scully sitting at $50 and the sick Metallic Madcap that came in the Hot Topic Deadpool mystery box back a couple years ago. The flash 3 pack is in and out of the top 10 but is still one of my favs in the collection.
Stashpedia as always is on a completely different level with the bat mobile, cap, thanks, white lantern flash and my man Mike Ehrmantraut! Would love to see more of the breaking bad collection in the top but for some reason it just won't heat up. Show us your top tens in the comments!
About an hour ago the C.O.A. Galerie released 4 variations of the amazing sculpture you see above with an engraved Sandra signature on each. Prices vary from $300 to $350 and are selling out fast! Such an unreal piece for the house and I would swoop before they're all gone! Each variation is limited to 100 pieces.
Click the button below to go directly to the product page. As of now there are still three of the variations available!
For this weeks Funko Top 10 Tuesday I figured I would do a little comparison of the PPG and Stashpedia Price Guides. Been a lot of commotion lately since it seems Funko might have made the acquisition of stashpedia which could have some effect on the pricing shown. We shall see ... Who really knows? Crazy to see the huge price differences though so it really makes you wonder which one is the real deal. In the end it doesn't really matter though. Gotta love the pieces you have!
The biggest difference in my collection on both of these price guides has to be the Pikachu and White Lantern Flash POPs. They differ on each by $20! Def two of my favorite pieces too. Show off your top tens or stashpedia list in the comments! What's your favorite piece? Doesn't have to be the most expensive either.
